Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 12, 2026
Stampo ("we", "us", "our") is a virtual travel passport app that lets you record the places you have visited and collect stamps. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles, where it is stored, who it is shared with, and what choices you have.
1. Data you create in Stampo
You can use Stampo as a guest without creating an account. Guest data is stored locally on your device. If you choose to create an account or sign in, Stampo can sync your data to the cloud so it can be associated with your account. The information you create may include:
- Your email address when you create or sign in to an account
- Your nickname, and optional profile details such as gender or birth date if you choose to enter them
- Countries and cities you mark as visited, including their map coordinates
- Visit dates and notes you write for each stamp (up to 140 characters)
- Stamp styles and customization choices
- Your language preference and account sync state
Guest data remains on your device and may be lost if you uninstall the app or change devices. If you create an account for cloud sync, your current local data is uploaded and future changes are stored with your account.
2. Service providers
To operate, the app sends limited information to the following service providers:
- Supabase — used for account authentication, password reset, account deletion, and optional cloud sync of your profile and stamp records. Supabase may process your email address, account identifiers, and synced app data. See Supabase's privacy information at supabase.com/privacy.
- Mapbox — when you view the map or search for a place, your search terms and map requests are sent to Mapbox to return results and map imagery. Mapbox may receive technical data such as your IP address as part of these requests. See Mapbox's privacy policy at mapbox.com/legal/privacy.
- Sentry — if the app crashes or hits an error, diagnostic information (such as the error, device model, and operating system) is sent to Sentry so we can fix problems. This crash data is not tied to a personal account. See Sentry's privacy policy at sentry.io/privacy.
3. How this information is used
- store and display your travel records, stamps, and notes
- create, authenticate, sync, and delete accounts if you choose to use an account
- deliver the core passport and map experience
- generate your passport and map export images
- diagnose crashes and keep the app stable and secure
We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or track you across other apps or websites.
4. Your choices
- use Stampo as a guest without creating an account
- create an account to upload local data and enable cloud sync
- edit or delete individual stamp records in the app
- sign out to remove account data from the current device
- delete your account in the app to remove your account and cloud-synced profile and stamp records, except where retention is required by law
- uninstall the app to remove locally stored guest data from your device
5. Children
Stampo is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
6. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect information handled by the app. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. International processing
Data sent to our service providers (such as Supabase, Mapbox, and Sentry) may be processed in countries other than the one where you live.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and may provide additional notice where appropriate.
